I think it’s worth noting when the Mets signed Cuddyer in the fall of ’14 they sacrificed their 2015 first round pick. Theoretically they could have drafted a quick moving college player who could be ready to impact the team soon.

With that being said, I’m glad in a way we got a comp pick for Murphy because the Mets need more players in their minor league pond.
